“A Scottish business, which supplies sound systems to the largest international live music, sporting and entertainment events, is celebrating 35 years in the business. Leading pro-audio provider The Warehouse Sound Services, whose clients have included, the BBC, Paramount Pictures, Edinburgh Festival Fireworks Concert, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, is now planning further expansion following a multi-million pound management buy-out.

The company which has supplied equipment to bands including Muse, Biffy Clyro and Simple Minds plans to boost turnover with expansion into new market sectors and the addition of a third branch in the near future.

Former sales director, Derek Blair who joined the company in 1994 completed the multi-million pound management buyout of The Warehouse Sound Services last month to become the sole owner and managing director of the business. Former directors and founders Cameron Crosby and Allan Brereton retired at the end of April.

The sales and purchasing side of the company will be now headed by up by Janet Murray who joined the company three years ago and has previous extensive experience in live sound and senior management.

The Warehouse has grown to become the largest professional audio provider in Scotland and the North of England. The vision of our founders Cameron and Allan has propelled us to the forefront of the global pro-audio and live event industry. ”

Fundamental to the company’s success is its partnerships with world-class audio brands that include Shure, Sennheiser, Avid, Midas, Yamaha, EM Acoustics and RCF. The company is one of only two sales partners of d&b audiotechnik in the UK.”
